She has devoted almost 15 years of her life in mentoring students in Higher Education in India and Overseas (5 years). Mentoring relationships involve the provision of career, social, and emotional support in a safe setting for self-exploration that results in positive academic and personal outcomes for her students. She has created a positive impact on students’ persistence and academic achievement in college and helps prepares them to be successful in their professional careers. With the zeal to work for students, she has conducted many workshops, which have also helped them to develop skills and behaviors necessary to succeed professionally.
As a mentor, she helps in exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts and identifying resources for her students. Listens, motivates, provides emotional support, inspire enthusiasm and counsel them for their prospects.
She teaches her students the commitment to individual’s development and fostering growth through promotion of morale by leadership, teamwork, and enhancing work environment. Consistent delivery in creative instruction style as a teacher and motivator, very organized, charismatic, optimistic, and approachable person by nature has made her popular amongst the students. She has encouraged her students when they fail to do well in their studies and make them take interests, which has resulted in a total turnaround of their academic performance.
In her career, she has successfully guided many students from dropping out from college due to failure in academics and low confidence by showing them the right way of approach to succeed. Infact she has worked on many students who were found to be adamant and misbehaving attitude, she made them realize the futility of the same and helped them follow obedient and disciplined way of life.
She motivates her students by – “Don’t stop when you’re tired, be strong than your strongest excuse and stop when you are done.â€
