Meet Deepika Venkatesh, a trailblazer in the realm of education, currently serving as a subject lead (humanities), senior school educator, and CAS Coordinator at an international school in Bengaluru. Her journey from the corporate world to education is a testament to her commitment to magnifying sustainable education.
With a total experience of 4.5 years, Deepika brings a unique blend of corporate acumen and educational excellence to the classroom. Her 2 years in the corporate sector, including a stint in business valuation and the capital markets division at ISB, she laid the foundation for her distinctive approach to teaching.
In her 2.5 years in the field of education, Deepika has been a torchbearer of progressive education techniques. She spearheads the Fairtrade India Schools Program, focusing on UN SDG 12, aiming to make her school the 2nd Fairtrade School in India. Her initiatives include virtual knowledge-sharing rooms with industry experts, introducing leaders from the LGBTQ community for discussions on inclusion, and pioneering sustainable initiatives like Face of the Month.
Within a year, Deepikas dedication and innovation led to her appointment as CAS Coordinator and Subject Lead. She instituted internal professional learning opportunities, including workshops on CAS driving factors and Innovation and immersive technologies in education, bringing valuable insights to the IBDP facilitators.
