Iqbal Thonse Hawaldar

Dr.Iqbal Thonse Hawaldar completed his Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. degrees from India. He worked as a Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in India at graduate and postgraduate levels. He moved to Kingdom University, Bahrain as an Assistant Professor in 2009 and in 2011, he was promoted to Associate Professor. In 2017, he has been promoted to the rank of Professor of Finance. He was appointed as the Dean of College of Business Administration from 2011 to 2013. He has been appointed as an Assistant to the President for Accreditation and Quality Assurance (Top 3rd position at Kingdom University, Bahrain) in April 2013. He is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK and member of The American Finance Association, USA.

He published more than 65 research papers in the field of Finance, banking, and management in the journals publishing from the USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Netherland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Malaysia, India, Romania, Poland, Holland, Turkey, etc. He wrote a book titled “Efficiency of Stock Market:  A Study of Stock Price Responses to Earnings Announcements” (ISBN: 978-3- 8465-2115-1), published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing Company, Germany. Published in the USA, UK, and Germany. He has presented many research papers in conferences and seminars. He is the reviewer for many reputed journals, international conferences, and seminars.  He is the examination panel member for the Ph.D. examination for many universities in India and abroad. He is a recognized quality assurance panel member in Bahrain. He chaired quality assurance review teams for the quality assurance reviews of universities and colleges in Bahrain. He conducted many workshops, training, chaired sessions, and delivered invited lectures in India and abroad. He has 24 years of teaching and research experience.
