Overview

Ar. Shruti Gupta, is a recognised Health Facility Planner. After completing her B.Arch and M.Arch in Healthcare Architecture from F/o Architecture & Ekistics (FAE), Jamia Millia Islamia University, she got awarded with the “Best Thesis of the year 2010” from IIA, for her exceptional work on ‘Redevelopment of 3000 bedded Medicity at Safdarjung Hospital’. With her special interest into Nuclear & Radioactive facilities, she pursed her observer-ship into ‘Cancer Facility, Administration & Equipment Planning’ from Dharamshila Narayana SS Hospital, along with her Masters in Hospital Administration and PG in Quality Management & Accreditation of Healthcare Organisations.

She is currently researching on Infrastructural development of Palliative care Facilities at Community Level. She was awarded with Golden Wings Awards, 1991 by then hon’ble President of India, Mr. K.R. Narayanan. She has actively worked on prestigious projects like extension of Nehru Hospital PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS Patna, SS Hospital Guwahati, Military Hospital Meerut, State Cancer Institute J&K, Nepal Cancer Institute & Research Centre, numerous Medical & Paramedical Colleges in North India, along with many institutional, residential & hospitality projects.

Presently, she is leading the Healthcare Architecture division, as Assistant Professor at Faculty of architecture & Ekistics. Jamia Millia Islamia, in both UG & PG programs. She is also the Resource Coordinator between Jamia Millia Islamia & Dharamshila Narayana SS hospital Academia-Industry collaboration and Jamia Millia Islamia & IIHMR Jaipur Academia collaboration. Her desire to shrink the gap between architecture world and medical science, has consequently led her to dedicate her soul in sculpting future Healthcare Facility Planners to change & promote efficient & affordable Healthcare facilities at the grass root level. She has presented multiple papers and attended various national and international conferences. Recently, she was honoured with the title of ‘Young Influential Women 2019’ by Schindler Group.

Apart from being an empathetic & electric educator, she has been dynamically involved in mentoring & inspiring students into healthcare architecture from several colleges in India.
