Simerjit Kaur

Overview

Dr. Simerjit Kaur received her Ph.D (Botany/Mycology) from Panjab University in 2006. She is Gold medalist in M.Phil (Botany/Aquatic Fungi) from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience and currently holding the position of Head, Department of Life Sciences at Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, India since July 2008. She has guided several M.Phil and Ph.D scholars under her guidance. She has more than 40 International Research publications. She was recently honored with Inspirational Woman Award 2020 for Academic Leadership by IARDO on International Day of the Girl Child on 11 October 2020 organized at SNDT Women's University, Churchgate Campus, Mumbai by IARDO. Earlier, she was honored with Best Teacher award by ISTE (Indian Society of Technical Education), New Delhi in 2013 by her significant contribution in the area of research and academic. She presented research papers in more than 30 International & National conferences. She organized various National & International Conferences/Symposia under her headship. She Participated  & presented scientific presentations in  more than 30 International & National Conferences. She is Resource Person/Invitee Speaker for Academic and Social issues Talks in Schools & Colleges under RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchtar Siksha Abhiyan) & SSA (Sarbh Siksha Abhiyan), Ministry of Education, India. She was Invitee Judge for CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition-2013’, organized at Chandigarh, India. She conducted more than 300 Academic Workshops under Ministry of Education, India for Schools and Colleges under Education Social Responsibility on behalf of Rayat Bahra University. Her research work has been recognized by her various International publications in SCI/Scopus/UGC approved/Thomson Reuters & well referred journals.
