Overview

Dr. Suresh Babu.K is the Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, SMCW, Symbiosis International University, Pune. A clinical Biochemist by training, he has been involved in academics and research for the past approximately 11 years. He holds a Doctoral degree and a Master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry. An ardent researcher, he has more than 40 papers in indexed international peer-reviewed journals with an impressive citation index of 85, h-index of 7, and i10 index of 12. He is involved in numerous research grant projects and has supervised Ph.D., MSc, and graduate research students (NIMS University Jaipur). He has also presented 2 papers in international scientific conferences. His areas of research interest include Diagnostic Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, Immune chemistry, Molecular-level studies.

Dr. Suresh Babu.K is the recipient of the Award, Best Teacher in Biochemistry in 2019 from ITAP Hyderabad for Excellence in academics, at the National level in India.  A passionate Medical teacher with more than 5000 teaching hours spanning nearly a decade, he has won many awards in teaching and lecturing in his teaching career, including the student choice Best Lecturer award for consecutive years (2016 & 2017 Saraswati Medical College, Lucknow). He has been appointed as an external Examiner to conduct viva to Ph.D. candidates (SRM University, Chennai & Carrier Point University, Kota).
